Hello, everyone!!

This is just a reminder that our annual NSC mock meets are this week!! I have not heard from anyone about not being able to make the meet so I am expecting everyone to be there. The meet line-ups are already written. If anything should come up please contact me by email or phone ASAP. Thanks!!

------ 10&Under swimmers have the night off!

Please remember that the reason we have these meets is for new swimmers and parents to get a feel for what our CCWSL dual meets are like. The meets also show your coaches what we need to work on as a team and as individuals.

Swimmers are put into events that I want to get times from them. The events are not necessarily their best events. Most new swimmers can plan on swimming at least one freestyle event and one backstroke event.

Due to the limited timeframe we have to work with for getting in our USS registration and entries in the firat two meets, we have set a deadline of Friday 9/28 (this week).

For two-day meets you are not required to go both days. Sign-up only for the day/events you would like your child to swim.

The 2006 Spring Clinic has begun! We're only one day in so it's not too late to sign up. We have only 10 spots left so hurry! We've received new information from our insurance company regarding who can participate in the Spring Clinic. On the flyers you all received at the banquet it states that the clinic is open to all current NSC or NHS swimmers. But, unfortunately, we have to limit registration to current NSC swimmers only. If you are a current NHS swimmer but not a current NSC swimmer you cannot participate in the clinic due to insurance reasons

NSC's 2005-2006 video yearbook, "TIMELESS" will be available for purchase at the banquet on Thursday, March 16th. A limited number of DVD copies with full motion menus will be just $10 each on the night of the banquet only. If you purchase or place an order (if the DVD's run out) on the night of the banquet the DVD's will be half off courtesy of Newington Swim Club. Orders placed after 3/16 will have to pay the full $20.

"TIMELESS" (33min.) includes a look back at NSC's memorable 2005-2006 season. The video yearbook also includes an extended, "Funny Kids" segment which includes our own American Idol.

The DVD's are of the DVD-R format and will play on most DVD players.

You've been hearing this phrase for the past few seasons, "We're closing the gap between NSC and the rest of Division I." But you've never heard this phrase, "NSC has arrived as a real threat at Championships."

All your hardwork at practice has resulted in our first win in Division I, three other very close meets in Division I, and our best showing yet at A Championships. Your coaches are very proud of everyone's efforts!

Championship meet results will be available soon on the website. See you at the banquet!

We have been assigned to the East Hartford Pool for the Regional Championships! Info sheets will be placed in the folders of participating swimmers.
